Santa Ana Valley High School
where the arts are academic
“The arts are not a frill. The arts are a response to our individuality and our nature, and help to shape our identity. What is there that can transcend deep difference and stubborn divisions? The arts. They have a wonderful universality. Art has the potential to unify. It can speak in many languages without a translator. The arts do not discriminate. The arts can lift us up.”
–Former Texas Congresswoman Barbara Jordan
What Does it Mean to Be in the Arts Academy?
You are focused on getting a well-rounded Arts education. You could focus on one area or you can explore a little of everything. This doesn't mean that you are specifically planning a career in the arts, we can help with that too. It means that the Arts are a passion of yours that you want to grow in. The choice is yours!
Your 4 years at Valley may look like this:
Hear directly from Arts Academy students.
What if I'm in Another Academy?
Awesome! The beauty of the Arts is that it should be available to everyone. Doctors, engineers, chef and mechanics all participate in the Arts. You can too!
What makes us unique?
Valley hosts the only ceramic program in the district. See your creativity come to life as you learn to sculpt, cast, glaze, and more.
From Cuco to Sublime to Los Bukis and everything in between, learn about the music you listen to. Learn ukulele, bass, and keyboard while figuring out why you love the music that you do.
Students have access let their creativity blossom with access to iPads, amps, various instruments, monitors, and so much much!
Our auditorium is currently under construction. When it does re-open it will be updated with new sound, lights, and more! Check back to see the progress on the updated renovation!
